Can I do CrossFit?

CrossFit works well for everyone.  This program “is designed for universal scalability, making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience.  We use the same programming for our masters’ athletes as we do our college age athletes.   We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.”

For example, if the workout calls for barbell squats with 135 pounds but you can only do squats with the bar (45 pounds), then that’s where you’ll start.  If you’re injured and can’t do squats at all, a similar movement will be substituted, and if the number of reps is too many for your current ability, that will be reduced.

Here at Towpath Fitness we have athletes that range from college students to grandparents, first time gym members to bodybuilders, athletes of every shape and size in our classes. Our members are the backbone to forming our winning community.
